In a world of globalization where the threat of new crises does not seem to disappear, the appropriate management of risk is necessary… It should be based on the development of new models for the correct measurement and management of risk…The crisis has become an “extraordinary development’’ that has not been seen before because of its quick evolution and the occurring of the rapid contagion effect from one country to another…

We need to develop joint governance forms so as to challenge the hegemonic values of our individualist consumer society with models of the active, productive, impaired participation of people working together for shared ideas…It will take both will and vision to get there…

Behavior is most humane and civil when it is based on knowledge and reason…

Sending messages to a time we will not see…Vox populi…

It’s hard to keep up a newspaper or magazine without reading more gloom-and doom…Fear is in the air…The unemployment rate has hit its highest rate in decades. Whether you’ve been laid off or aren’t motivated in a dead-end job and fear making a transition, here’s the one question you have to answer: What do you offer to the world that uniquely emanates from your heart? Why? The recession has pushed many people into unemployment, pay cuts, reduced hours, or part-time jobs…Even if you have a good job, you may be working more hours for less money…You need to develop comfort living which is about creating a personal lifestyle that emphasizes inner priorities…what matters most to you…See that money and status are only an illusion and that the universe always provides for people in need…Once you free your ego from unnecessary attachment to money and power, you will be a more peaceful person…

Life is about change, and career planning and self-exploration are lifelong processes…You don’t just make a decision today and expect that you will be completely satisfied with that choice for the rest of your life. However, this doesn't mean that the choices you make today are worthless…Daily you have the choice to be personally accountable and in control of your destiny…Will you go the extra mile and exceed expectations because you want to? People who take personal accountability for all they do will rise to the top as a result of this point of differentiation... Everything in life is a choice, but the true essence of choice is commonly misunderstood…In The Teachings of don Juan, author Carlos Castaneda quotes his Yaqui Indian mentor: Ask yourself one question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't it is of no use…Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other does not. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you…Eleanor Roosevelt once said, your philosophy is not best expressed in words but in the choices you make…

The principle is this: you go as far as you can see; and when you get there you will always be able to see farther. If you can’t hit a target you can’t see, how can you hit one you don’t even have? Set goals and take action…Life is filled with confusing options and competing interests. For better or for worse, your life is shaped by your choices and decisions…You’ll also need to recognize that, since it is your choice, you must deal with the consequences… You must admit that no one can make you do anything you don’t really wish to, especially if you have the faith in yourself to persevere, even in the most arduous endeavours you face…

Change requires much more than courage. Each person is different; therefore, each situation requires a different approach…In the final analysis, you have to know yourself and what you are capable of handling before embarking on a new episode in life…Your age, your background, your experience, your resources, your skills, your love of adventure, your desire to meet new people, and your resilience to adjustments all must bear on your decision to make a change…The director of Star Wars, George Lucas, once said: A lot of people like to do certain things, but they’re not that good at it. Keep going through the things that you like to do, until you find something that you seem to be extremely good at. He reminds us of the importance of matching our passion with our potential…Add what others need, and are willing to pay for, and you have a viable career option…Change your thinking and focus on what you want and see how much faster it comes to you…

You come here with everything you need to create the life you want. If your natural gifts and talents aren't being nurtured, they atrophy…Stop waiting for God or the Government to fix all your problems, so you can then be happy...You will wait indefinitely for a handout that will never come, or at least not in the form you expect...Things won’t go back to the way they were...You still have choices you have to make, and the prize is still ultimate happiness, but the path toward the destination of your dreams does not involve going back to the way it was, nor does it involve a happiness-fix...Happiness is a state of being. It is something you are. Therefore, you can't find happiness outside you. It will not be found in the attainment of goods or material things, or in finding the "right" person or community. You can't have enough stuff to make you happy…Happiness is only to be found within you. It is experienced in your travels along your life journey…

La vida reconociendo...
